Interlude I-Man in the Clouds

Long ago, before there were paths to follow, there was darkness
The universe was empty and still, even silence went unheard
Suddenly in a flash of light, the galaxy burned full of hot gas
Explosions ruled the cosmos for many fortnight as the worlds formed
The Earth as we know it, melted upon itself in heat, forming to its present state
Though upon its surface, there was not existence, no life, no roads, nothing
A Supreme being created the heavens and placed himself there
He looked down upon his creations and called them serene
As he watched the Earth, He knew it needed something else
He took his almighty hands, and formed its surface, making all things new
A touch from his omnipotent finger, stirred first life, and man became real
From that day forth, a consciousness of God lived in man, burned in his soul
The Man in the Clouds, as he became known, watched down on his little world
Of human things He took great interest, His love for sinners went unmatched
Along came the dreamer, from some when, somewhere many years now past
This God knew the dreamer before he knew himself, He knew the struggles he would have
He knew the boy would have the heart of a dreamer, and what fool's hearts were made of
The dreamer was a likeness of Him and his dreamer's heart would carry him far upon the tide
Nothing would ever happen to make him stop believing, Nothing too great to breaker his lover's heart
Life might torment him, or lest he torment himself, The Man in the Clouds knew this one was different
He knew the dreamer before the endless one could discover himself
He decided to follow the boy, Watch the dreams unfold
He placed great care and faith in the dreamer, Yet he knew all roads the young one would take
He cast him upon the Earth to go forth, To make others as complete as he was looking for himself
To bring joy to hearts, songs to one's soul, The dreamer had a gargantuan task
To be all things dreams are made of, and to make them all come true
To find his own road to Happiness, but only after serving God's will
Run Endless Dreamer, carry on swiftly
I know the roads you take, I built them for you
Follow your Endless Heart, for it will carry you back to me
